From time to time, Light Truck and Auto’s Perry Hamilton and Wayne Methvin do something remarkable. Wayne participates in the Wichita County Junior Livestock Show’s Premium Sale to raise money for hard working 4-H students.  This year, the Wichita County Junior Livestock Show raised approximately $142,000 on January 13. The challenge for most Jr. Livestock participants is to sell the animals they raised.

Wayne loves to help students earning goals by raising their bid amount.

Here are a few “thank you” cards Light Truck and Auto received. (Grammar and spelling errors are original.)

Dear Light Truck and Auto,

Turkey chick

Thank you so much for purchasing my pen of chickens at this year’s county show. This was my first year to raise and show chickens. Unfortunately, this is my last year to do so because I am a senior. You know what they say, “go out with a boom.” Thank you,”

A. M.

Dear Light Truck and Auto,

Thank you for adding on to my turkey at the Wichita County Jr. livestock show the money will go to help me get more turkeys. I was happy when I won Grand Champion with my turkey tom and Jr Showmanship. Thank you,”

Dear Light Truck and Auto

Thank you for adding money towards my turkey. This is my third year showing turkeys, and the first time I won Grand Champion. I means a lot to me that my hard work paid off, and you added more joy to the win. Your add on will go to buying other turkeys in the future and feeding them. Thank you again for adding money towards my turkey. Thank you.”

Thank you for supporting my FFA project this year. I really appreciate your generosity.  Your investment will help me in my future projects. Sencerely,”
